Nature Park Karwendel

Leutasch borders Austria's largest nature park. Mighty mountain peaks, turquoise mountain lakes, vast forests, green alpine meadows, and marshes characterize Naturpark Karwendel. This is also the habitat of the ibex and golden eagle, and wild orchids grow here. Go on a scenic ride over the mountain slopes, hop on one of the summer elevators, or explore the area on foot. For example, hike to the largest mountain lake in the area or to the Leutasch Spirit Gorge which takes you through an impressive gorge.
